2017/03/02Our Trip in February 2017
We started on January 31.
We flew to Haneda airport then to Dubai in Arabia.Raining and dark we could not see the desert but we did see the tallest building in the world from the plane. We lost our computer on the plane and luckily it was returned to lost and found and we were able to recover it before we left for Zurich.Once in Zurich we were greeted by Jesse Osmer. Jesse is an American man who has married a Swiss woman from the Goetheanum. They offered us a room in the student dormitory for free.Him and his wife were most helpful during our stay in Switzerland. Thanks Jesse. We arrived on the night before the conference was to begin.Good thing though i was sick with a sinus infection and did not feel well for the whole time at the Goetheanum. While there, we got to participate in artistic classes such as eurthumy, and voice therapy, choir. Konomi of course choose the choir.I skipped out on eurthyumy to rest. We had workshops on various topics. My topic was land ownership and passing it on to the next farmer. Konomi chose to work with the bd preps. Both were excellent work shops. We got to meet and talk to a lot of people during break time and at meals. We met Massa Ando a Japanese guy who is also married to a Swiss woman who we did not get to meet.He lives within 10 minutes walking distance from the Goetheanum. He walks with his children around the campus and small town frequently. We got to attend a meeting after the conference to discuss next years theme the bd preps and how to present them.We met the president of the BD association of the U.K.Peter Brown and the former president Barnard Jardon. It was a thrill to meet them among other such V.I.P.'s there at that meeting. Many countries were represented. We again got to see Uli Heuter, Thomas Luthi, And John Micheal Florin the heads of the agriculture section at the Goetheanum, whom we had met 5 years ago when we went there. We saw Nicholi Fuchs again and heard his wonderful presentation on land grabbing across the globe. He has a good land security system in germany but not any where else yet. We saw our old friend Herman Schlipolt a BD farmer who we stayed with 5 years ago after that conference. He is responsible for teaching us how to make cheese and gave us some real good advise about the BD preps and took us on tour to see some Demeter shops in Switzerland.
Thank you for everything.
