we got cow 牛が来た！

our dandelion harvest day was dark,rainy and not good for anything.
調合剤のための２度目のタンポポの収穫の日は暗くて、雨が降っていて、全然いい日ではありませんでした。
so we didnt get to harvest any.
だから採りに行くのをやめました。
we will try again next flower sign day.
また次の「花の日」に頑張ります。
we had a nice visitor last week.shiho musha
先週、素晴らしいお客様、武者しほさんを迎えました。
she came to us from germany where she has been living on a demeter certified farm baking bread.
彼女はドイツのデメターというブランドから認証を受けた農場でパンを焼いています。
she wants to learn to bake bread with biodynamic wheat and rye here in japan in the future.
将来、日本でバイオダイナミック小麦とライ麦を使ってパンを焼くことを学びたいのだそうです。
we are very proud to know her.she is a real soldier in our fight to bring biodynamics to japan.
私たちはしほに出会えたことをたいへん誇らしく思います。彼女は日本にバイオダイナミック農業を広めるという我々の戦いにおける真の戦士だからです。
she is a very brave ,intelligent, and pretty girl.she went to germany to learn how to make japan a better place for all of us.
彼女はとても勇敢で、賢くて、美しい女性です。彼女は日本をもっと良い国にするにはどうしたらよいかを学びにドイツへ行ったのです。
she now speaks german, english and of course japanese.japan is lucky to have a girl like her.we all need more young people like her.
彼女はドイツ語、英語、そしてもちろん日本語を話します。日本は彼女のような女性を擁して、幸せでだと思います。もっと彼女のような若者が必要です。

we sprayed bc on the the future soybean fields here.
私たちは大豆畑の予定地に樽堆肥を撒きました。
the first day konomi and i rode on the back of the trailer and hand sprayed the field from a big container into buckets and wiskbrooms while being pulled by a tractor by shusaku.
初日、このみと私はトレーラーの後ろに乗り、シュウサクの運転するトラクターに引かれながら、最初は大きな容器に作った調合剤を、小さなバケツに汲みとりながら、手ほうきを使って手で撒きました。
three of us worked until 10:30 pm．
私たち３人は10時半まで働きました。
our second and third spray was from the container that was fitted by konomi and shusaku with a drip system.

２回目と３回目の散布は、このみとシュウサクがドリップ方式に合うように作ったタンクから自動的に散布する方法を編み出し、それで散布しました。
konomi rode on the back of the trailer monitoring the drips flow while i drove the tractor.
私がトラクターを運転し、このみはトレーラーの後ろに乗り、滴が万遍なく落ちているかをチェックしていました。
she was determined to make her design work.
彼女はこの方式がきっとうまくいくと固く信じていました。
i had my doubts in the beginning but konomi was firm in her belief.
私は最初、このやり方に疑問があったのですが、このみは絶対的な自信を持っていました。
while i was driving the tractor i looked back at her.
私はトラクターを運転しながら振り向いて彼女を見ました。
the weather was cool,damp and miserable but she looked like superwoman,tough.
天気は悪く、寒くてじめじめしていて最悪でしたが、彼女はたくましく、まるでスーパーウーマンのようでした。
the first spray was the same weather.we sat side by side i was miserable spraying by hand.then konomi began to sing.
最初の日（初回の散布）も同じような天気でした。私たちは隣り合って座り、手で散布しているうちに、私は惨めな気持ちになってきました。その時、このみが歌い出したのです。
i felt like some angels had come to take the pain out of my arms.
私は天使たちが舞い降りてきて、腕の痛みを癒してくれたような気持ちになりました。
and i wondered what kept her going so strong.she is just so amazing.
なぜ彼女はこうも強くあり続けることができるのでしょう。彼女には本当に脱帽です。
she gives me strength and courage when i need it most.
このみは私が一番必要としている時に励まし、力づけてくれるのです。
when i get down i think of my superwoman.
今後落ち込みそうになったら、私のスーパーウーマンを思い出そうと思います。

the day we went to pick up our calves was real bad weather,
私たちの仔牛たちを受け取りに行った日は、ほんとうにひどい天気でした。
hard rain and very windy.kitagimasan let us use his van to haul our babies.
すごい豪雨と風でした。友人の北島さんが私たちの赤ん坊たちを運ぶためのバンを貸してくれました。
i had to line it with some panel boards and tarps and old hay on the floor.
私は板と防水シートで内部を覆い、古い干し草を床に敷きました。
nakagawasan brought us a bale of his good hay and rode with us.
牛農家の中川さんが一梱のおいしい干し草を持ってきてくれて、私たちと一緒にバンに乗ってくれました。
the van on the way up there was being blown all over the road,but we made it there.
来る途中、ずっとバンは風に吹き付けられていましたが、なんとか牛を売ってくれる農家にたどり着きました。
we loaded up our babies and headed home with no trouble, everything went well.
すべてうまく行き、我々は赤ん坊たちを載せて家に無事帰ってくることができました。
the weather eased up a bit while we unloaded long enough to take some pictures then it poured down again.
天気は少し回復して、赤ん坊たちを降ろし、写真を撮ったりした後間もなく、また雨が猛烈に降り出しました。
after we got our girls settled in for the night and nakagawasan was on his way home the weather suddenly cleared and konomi and i were walking to the house and could see the full moon shinning with all its glory.
娘たちを寝る場所で落ち着かせ、中川さんが帰路に着いた後、天気は急に良くなりました。このみと私は家に向かって歩きながら、素晴らしい満月が輝いているのを見ることができました。
what a beautiful sight.shiawase.happiness abounds.
なんて美しい光景でしょう。幸せに満ちています。

konomi rebroadcast our pasture after tokapuchi's employees mistakenly harrowed one field.
このみはトカプチの作業員が間違えて既に牧草の種を播いた後にならして潰してしまった牧草地に、種を蒔き直しました。
Tokapuchi bought us some more seed.2 timothys orchard grass,rye grass,white clover.
トカプチが買ってくれた2種類のチモシー、オーチャード（牧草の名前）と、ライ麦と、シロツメクサの種が届きました。
we are trying for 2.5ha of land to make into pasture.it will take awhile to make good pasture.
私たちは2.5ヘクタールの土地を放牧地にする予定です。よい牧草を作るには、しばらくかかるでしょう。
nakagawasan gave us some electric fence so we can use some grassy areas around the farm until our pasture is ready.
中川さんが電子柵をくださったので、これで農場のまわりで今現在すでに草の生えている場所を囲って、今種の播いた放牧地の牧草が出来るまでの間の放牧地としてそこを使うことができます。

i guess now would be a good time to thank some of the folks who have helped us.

nakagawasan is an organic beef farmer in yachiyo.he is interested in biodynamics and konomi has sprayed bc on his farm this last week.
中川さんは八千代でオーガニック牛を育てています。彼はバイオダイナミック農法に興味をもっており、このみは先週彼の農場に樽堆肥を撒きました。
he is a very kind man and is a good friend.
彼はとても親切なよい友人です。
kitagimasan is one of our byyakko member friends.he has given us lumber to build our guestroom let us use his van and has helped us in many ways.
北島さんは白光会の仲間のひとりです。彼は我が家の客室を作るための木材をくれたり、バンを貸してくれたりと、いろいろ助けてくれています。
we appreciate him very much.we gather with many other members at his house the first sunday every month to pray for peace on earth.
彼にはとても感謝しています。私たちは世界の平和を祈るために、他のたくさんの会員と共に毎月第一日曜日に彼の家に集まっています。

Dear Ben, finally got on the websiet with Konomi's help. What nice articles, you have written, I have read them all. Sounds as if you both are really busy and are setting up a good site and farm for biodynamic farming. I am so proud of you and wish you both the most blessed works. You are both in on the pioneering of this amazing farming and I hope that you both succedd beyond our wildest dreams. Love you always, Mom
